Plus-Size Supporting Role (w/d) as a “Nurse” for a Comedy Commercial

We’re looking for a plus-size nurse for a commercial featuring rapper SSIO. The role has no lines, but plenty of screen time.

The story: A heavily pregnant goth girl—SSIO’s wife in the commercial—is lying in the delivery room giving birth. But in the end, instead of a baby, a Christmas tree comes out. You rush into the room when the chief physician calls for backup, help pull, shout along with everyone else, push the bed out into the courtyard, tie the rope to a Smart car, and cheer on the woman in labor.

The humor of the role lies in the contrast: You do all this with the routine of someone who’s seen a thousand births. No hesitation, no look of confusion on your face. But when it comes time to pull, you break into wild screaming. A seasoned, strong shift worker who’s seen it all and simply does her job, no matter what it entails.

Tone: over-the-top, crude humor in the style of SSIO. The ad promotes its Tannenbusch shop; there are corresponding cannabis references. If this isn’t your thing, you’re in the wrong place.

• Willingness to get loud. Shouting and cheering while pulling are part of the role
