For our 10-minute thriller short film (Bachelor graduation project), we are looking for committed actors and actresses who would like to immerse themselves in the dark machinations of a 'problematic' police matter.
Logline:
In an idyllic small-town bakery with a dark secret, two corrupt police officers who want to destroy evidence of a murder get caught up in a deadly game of cat-and-mouse with the seemingly harmless but actually psychopathic baker.
Title: Treats
We present a dark and intriguing chamber play that simmers beneath the peaceful surface of a small bakery. After a brutal crime during the night, two corrupt police officers visit this inconspicuous place in the early morning to destroy incriminating surveillance footage. There they meet the initially amiable and curious baker, whose famous pastries conceal a terrible family tradition. They have no idea that the baker's friendly façade is deceptive. What begins as a seemingly harmless interrogation escalates into a nerve-wracking confrontation in which the masks fall and bourgeois conventions give way to a cruel truth - with deadly consequences.

The policeman:
The search is on for an actor who can embody the complex nature of a narcissistic and corrupt policeman. Bribery and murder have become a sad routine for him. He can appear charming and friendly on the outside, but his voice always betrays a determined, unyielding tone. He is unscrupulous and absolutely convinced of his actions. He is aware of his partner's loyalty, but he is also aware of their shared guilt.
