Job description
We’re casting for the male lead—the chief physician—in a commercial for rapper SSIO.
The story: A heavily pregnant goth girl—SSIO’s wife in the commercial—is lying in the delivery room, giving birth to her child. But in the end, instead of a baby, a Christmas tree comes out. You’re overseeing this “birth.” At first, you’re calm and experienced, but then you realize something’s wrong: call for backup, let it stretch, let it flush out, and finally, have the bed wheeled out into the courtyard and tied to a Smart car. Finally, you examine the Christmas tree as if it were a newborn.
The role thrives on the fact that the doctor never doubts himself for a second, no matter how absurd his instructions become. He’s the boss in the room; no one questions his orders. Grey’s Anatomy meets a small-town soccer coach.
Tone: over-the-top, crude humor in the style of SSIO. The ad promotes his Tannenbusch shop; there are corresponding cannabis references. If you don’t get this, you’re in the wrong place.

We’re using a short self-tape instead of an in-person open casting call. We’ll send you the script in advance so you’re familiar with the context.
We want to see three distinct registers, clearly separated from one another. The role spans the spectrum from calm to loud. Please deliver all lines in this order.
Task 1 – Calm and Confident
DOCTOR
“Stay completely relaxed, don’t stress. You mustn’t stress yourself out.”
Said to a screaming woman. Friendly, but with a hint of doubt in his eyes—he’s long since realized that something isn’t right here.
Task 2 – Control in a Crisis
DOCTOR
“Let’s try that again. And now, everyone together: Aaaand go!”
He pitches in and pulls. Please act it out physically; the pulling must look strenuous. Feel free to scream while pulling.
DOCTOR
“Okay, this isn’t working. We need to bring out the big guns. Come on, push her out into the courtyard! Quick, quick, quick, quick!”
In a commanding tone. This isn’t a suggestion—it’s an order—and everyone springs into action.
Task 3 – Pride
DOCTOR
“Nice and compact, good shape, good weight, good consistency, good color.”
He holds the freshly cut Christmas tree in his hands and examines it as if it were a newborn baby. Serious, satisfied, professional. No grinning.
Technical Details
A cell phone is perfectly sufficient, [landscape/portrait], steady camera position, no filters
Even lighting from the front, face must be clearly recognizable
Sound is more important than video: quiet room, phone close enough so the voiceover doesn’t get drowned out
No costume needed—just be yourself
Start with a short slate: Name, age, city of residence, availability on September 22.
All in one video; unedited is fine
Send the tape by September 19 to casting@flugmodus.tv
We use the tapes exclusively for internal casting purposes and delete them afterward
Submit your application with a resume, recent photos, and—if available—a showreel. We’ll get back to you promptly; the cast will be finalized shortly.
Role / Requirements profile
Appearance: classic chief physician. White coat, well-groomed, exuding authority at first glance. Age and presence are more important than good looks
Natural dominance: someone you’d believe has delivered a thousand babies and wouldn’t let a stuck Christmas tree rattle him
Wide emotional range: ranging from reassuring to stressed to a commanding tone at full volume, ending with professional pride
Comedic timing—the joke comes from the fact that he takes the nonsense completely seriously
Physical comedy: Pulling, cheering, hustle and bustle in the room
Several lines of dialogue in German, at a native-speaker level
Suitable for humor: The commercial features crude jokes and cannabis references. We’ll send you the script in advance so you know exactly what you’re getting into
Available all day on September 22; travel to Cologne possible [Travel expenses / lodging: please specify]
