Lead actor (m/f) for a student mockumentary

This project is a student short film. We are students at the SAE Institute Leipzig and will be shooting our final diploma project in July.

It is a mockumentary of about 20 minutes with a politically relevant theme.

The logline is as follows:
The arrogant politician Christian Lindner wakes up in the body of a welfare recipient after a campaign rally where he is cursed by a counter-protester. He quickly realizes that he must navigate the recipient’s daily life—full of difficulties—in order to return to his old life.

Since this is a student project, this role is unfortunately unpaid. However, catering will of course be provided on all shooting days.

The actor should ideally be from Leipzig or the surrounding area, as we are unable to cover travel expenses.

The shooting period is 4 days, though we are planning a 5th day as a buffer. The shooting period is scheduled for mid-July , though the exact dates are still to be determined.

THE CHARACTER:
Ronny Klein is a 31-year-old single man who lives in a small one-bedroom apartment in Leipzig. He is introverted, insecure, but creative and has many interests. His social circle is quite small, consisting of just a few close friends. He dreams of finding a job in the film industry. However, due to various obstacles he has faced in his life so far, he has not yet been able to fulfill this dream and is currently a recipient of basic income.
IMPORTANT: Ronny does not appear as a real person in the film; his story is told through his appearance and his apartment. This is because, at the time the film takes place, the former FDP politician Christian Lindner is inhabiting his body.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
The actor must physically embody Christian Lindner, which means that his facial expressions, manner of speaking, and gestures must be modeled after Lindner. This means that the person Christian Lindner must be thoroughly studied and imitated.

APPEARANCE:

• maximum height 178 cm

• thin hair / receding hairline

• slender build
