Actor (m/d) as "Malik" for a student short film project

Hey lovelies, 

Here are Carlos Stöver (director, writer), Lukas Koch (director) and Can aka the singer "herbst" and we are looking for you as the additional main character "Malik" for our short film project Please love me ! The film will incorporate three of Can's songs in the movie and is set for immediate release next year. As Can already has a great fanbase, this project will definitely increase the visibility of each actor. The budget allows us a professionalized production, but unfortunately no payment for the participating cast/crew. An expense allowance is planned, but cannot yet be bindingly promised at this stage of production. (This project is a student project) 

In Please love me (15-20 minutes), Emilio meets the attractive Malik, with whom he falls madly in love. But as Emilio slowly begins to realize that Malik is always seeking distance from him due to bad experiences in love, the freshly formed relationship threatens to collapse faster than Emilio would like...

A story that shows the suffering of unrequited love and captures the psychological strain and immense self-doubt that can accompany heartbreak. Nevertheless, moments full of passion invite hope that Emilio and Malik will still find each other. Comprehensible to so many lovers, the story touches all those who have already had to deal with their own pain. The role of Emilio will be played by Can himself!

MALIK's heart has been shaken a few times, making it difficult for him to build up trust in a person and show himself vulnerable again. Some days, he even doubts whether he will ever be able to fall in love again. But his strong and self-confident demeanor, which is still characterized by passion and devotion, invites others to become addicted to Malik.
This is what happened when he meets Emilio on a date. Emilio's naivety and inexperience bite, so that Malik increasingly feels he has to distance himself in order to protect Emilio and himself from a love that flares up too quickly. But the damage he causes seems to be even greater...

We love working with committed actors who can evoke great emotions with just a little use of voice and facial expressions. We are looking for looks that can be read like a book and a performance that is not an act but something real. However, in this project you will also discover longer dialog passages, stirring moments and dynamic activities! We work with long takes and a dynamic camera so that not only the created images can unfold, but also so that you as the actor or the viewer have enough time to emphasize the nuanced acting or to be able to empathize with it
