With the artistic divisions Aalto-Musiktheater, Aalto Ballett Essen, Essener Philharmoniker and Schauspiel Essen, Theater und Philharmonie Essen (TUP) unites one of Germany's largest theater companies under one roof, which also includes the internationally renowned Philharmonie Essen concert hall. Around 350,000 guests visit the more than 1,000 events of the TUP each season.
The following positions are to be filled for the Artistic Operations Office at the Aalto Theater as of 28.08.2025 :
2 Heads of the Artistic Operations Office
The employment relationship is based on the provisions of the NV-Bühne.
Your responsibilities:
Managing the Artistic Operations Office in a team of two
Drawing up the daily, weekly, monthly and production schedules
Managing weekly schedule meetings, production discussions, etc.
Working on the annual scheduling in close consultation with the plant management
Searching for replacement staff or reassignments
. Replacements
Organization of apartments and hotel bookings for guests
Assumption of weekend and management duties
Collaboration and proofreading of the leporello, the annual booklet, the evening cast list, the homepage, etc.
Maintenance of data in Theasoft
Processing of fee statements, vacation requests and sick notes

You have the following qualifications:
Multi-year experience in the artistic operations office or a related field
Foreign language skills
Good knowledge of the opera repertoire as well as the (regional) opera landscape
Good knowledge of collective agreements and labor law
Good IT skills (MS-Office, Excel, Theasoft)
High organizational skills, reliability and flexibility
Willingness to work normal theater hours, Ability to work under pressure
