Second annual film FilmArche, 26.09.2025, 1-2 hours from 5 pm
For an intense street scene, we are looking for extras who will become part of a big city scene. The scene takes place in daylight in a busy street - many people are out and about, a typical everyday urban backdrop.
This is what it's about:
In the midst of the vibrant city of Berlin, 25-year-old queer Ela fights for her moments of happiness and falling in love - but between everyday sexism, homophobia and constantly crossing boundaries, she has to learn that self-protection is sometimes more important than resistance. A sensitive portrait about self-assertion, vulnerability and daily navigation through a world that is far from being as open as it seems.
Where: Berlin
As it is a FilmArche film and I have no budget, it is unfortunately unpaid.

For an intense street scene, we are looking for extras to become part of a big city scene. The scene takes place in daylight in a busy street - many people are out and about, a typical everyday urban setting.
Suddenly, this normality is interrupted:
A woman shouts loudly and aggressively at our lead actress - abruptly, violently, threateningly loud. She then begins to follow the protagonist at short intervals - wordlessly, but noticeably close. The tension remains in the air, but the scene does not tip over into physical violence. It is about intimidation, about control through presence.
The people around them (extras) are aware of what is happening - but do not react.
Some look briefly, others deliberately avoid eye contact. Nobody intervenes. No help. No question, no comment. The threat is ignored - as if nothing had happened.
We are looking for extras who can carry this atmosphere:
fine, realistic body language, credible restraint, a feeling for "non-action" in public space. Without text, but with great effect.
