Director (f/m/d) for the Christmas fairy tale at the Neuberinhaus Reichenbach

As a large theater and cultural center, the Neuberinhaus Reichenbach is an indispensable building block of cultural life for Reichenbach as well as for the entire Vogtland and the West Saxony region. The Neuberinhaus Reichenbach is looking for a creative and experienced director on a fee basis for its amateur theater group Neuberin Ensemble for the Christmas play 2025. The Christmas fairy tale contributes to the cultural participation of children in rural areas and is attended by around 2,000 spectators every year. For 2025, the ensemble will present the fairy tales ,,Snow White & Rose Red'' or ,,The Devil with the 3 Golden Hair'' for selection.

Performance of the Christmas fairy tale: 14 & 16.-19.12.2025
Start of organization and arrangements: from August 2025
Start of rehearsals: End of September/beginning of October 2025

Tasks:
- Production of an approx. 60-minute play with up to 15 amateurs aged between
14 and 65
- Regular rehearsals by arrangement (two to three times a week, evenings or weekends) from the end of September/beginning of October to mid-December
- Guidance and support for the players
- Collaboration with workshop leaders to design sets, costumes and props

Requirements:
- Experience in directing, ideally in the field of amateur theater
- Creativity and the ability to develop innovative staging concepts
- Good communication and teamwork skills to create a motivating and productive rehearsal environment
- Flexibility and commitment to adapt to the needs and abilities of the amateur players
- Willingness to work closely with the Neuberinhaus Reichenbach and actors in the city of Reichenbach
