Actor (m/d) for a student graduation film
We are looking for a male actor (18-28 years) who has a casual, unpolished charisma that is both authentic and vulnerable. Slim figure and skater boy look. A mixture of relaxed coolness and hidden insecurity. A loner who observes the room but often stands on the sidelines.
Character:
Silas is a young man in his early 20s who goes to the club alone every weekend to finally meet someone. He is convinced that his looks prevent him from doing so, especially because he is very thin. He wears oversized clothes to hide his stature. He believes that women only find well-trained men attractive. His first move is always a wink, which doesn't always go down well. As soon as he gets into a conversation, he drops the platitudes and says what he thinks directly, sometimes awkwardly, sometimes charmingly.
In the course of the story, he gets to know Selina, who is struggling with her own insecurities. The two help each other to overcome their self-doubt. She shows him that appearance is secondary and that you have to accept yourself first instead of looking to others for validation.
Short synopsis of the short film "Fugue":
Selina, a shape-shifter, has not only lost her original form due to her ability, but also herself. Driven by self-hatred and the desire for love, she hunts women who resemble her former self. She draws blood from them to take on their form, hoping to be recognized and loved by her family. But when Silas, a stranger who shows her with his directness and persistence that true acceptance does not depend on appearances, approaches her, she is forced to confront the painful truth: Can she really return to her old life, or must she learn to accept herself as she is now?
Shooting is tentatively scheduled for the period from September 8, 2025 to September 15, 2025 in Cologne and the surrounding area. This is a low-budget film, so unfortunately we cannot offer any remuneration. It would therefore also be helpful if there are no or only low travel costs. Catering will be provided. We offer a valuable experience with a film worth seeing, which will be sent to festivals worldwide.
