"Creator Mom" (w/d) with child for a commercial for a learning app

We are an established company in the ed-tech (educational technology) sector and operate one of the leading online learning platforms. For our kids’ app, we’re looking for a mother with a child (ages 5–6) for a UGC/self-shoot production.

Content: A mom experiences an unsettling everyday moment with her child involving unsupervised media use—and then explains directly to the camera why she switched to our app. The tone is warm and honest, not accusatory: a “that could have happened to me, too” vibe that turns into genuine relief.

One shoot will result in two versions:

• V1: short acted everyday scene (mom & child in conversation, kitchen) + subsequent testimonial looking directly into the camera

• V2: classic selfie testimonial, just Mom, looking directly into the camera (tripod possible)

In addition, there’s B-roll: several shots in which the child interacts with the app on the tablet (playing, singing along, navigating on their own).

Filming is done independently with a smartphone based on a detailed briefing with a script. There are clear guidelines for the text, but small personal touches are expressly encouraged—the important thing is that it sounds genuine. We’ll handle the editing and post-production.

Who we're looking for:

• A mother (or female caregiver) + a child between the ages of 5 and 6

• Mom speaks the main lines and is on screen throughout

• The child has two short lines in Scene 1 and is visible on screen—no memorization required; the lines are spoken in a casual, childlike manner

• Mom, who can speak to the camera in a believable and calm manner, as if she were telling her best friend—not reading from a script, not in a promotional tone

• Ability to convey genuine emotion: first confused/worried, then relieved

• A child who is relaxed in front of the camera and enjoys playing with a tablet

Technical requirements:

• Smartphone with at least 2K resolution, 25 fps

• Recording in portrait orientation 9:16

• HDR must be disableable in the camera settings

• Tableton which an app can be used in a clearly legible manner

• A typical apartment as the location (kitchen + one room for the testimonial shoot); everyday surroundings may remain visible

• Sufficient natural light or even indoor lighting

• Tripod or mount for the testimonial takes

• Lavalier microphone is a plus

Nice to have:

• Experience with UGC videos, testimonials, or amateur acting

• Experience in helping a child stay relaxed during a shoot

• Reliable, on-time delivery of raw footage in individual clips
