Creator (m/f/d) for a humorous TV commercial

We are an established company in the ed-tech (educational technology) sector and operate one of the leading online learning platforms. For a TV commercial production in the reality TV/docu-soap style, we are looking for a family to participate in a self-shoot production.

The spots depict typical family situations revolving around school stress and poor grades—loud, chaotic, authentic, and with a touch of humor. The look is intentionally unstaged: handheld camera, real home, no studio, no studio lighting. In the end, our learning platform resolves the situation.

A finished concept, including a script, is available and will serve as a template. There are sample dialogues provided, but we’re intentionally leaving room for your own wording and spontaneity—the important thing is that it comes across as genuine and lively.

Filming is done independently using a smartphone. If necessary, there’s the option to hire a videographer. For now, however, the plan is to film it yourself. We’ll handle the editing and post-production.

Who we’re looking for:

• Ideally, a family: two adults (as parents) + one school-aged child (approx. 8–13 years old)

• Also possible: 1 parent + 1 child – if necessary, we’ll provide a cameraman for the shoot

• All participants speak and are visible on camera

• Enjoy loud, exaggerated acting: Arguments, chaos, talking over each other—without things actually escalating

• A child who can act defiant, annoyed, or panicked without coming across as whiny

• Adults who can convincingly act “overwhelmed and loud”—not angry, but helpless

• Good timing for punchlines and sudden changes in volume (quiet → very loud → quiet)

Technical requirements:

• A smartphone capable of filming in 4K / 60fps

• Handheld camera look desired (slightly moving along with the action, intentionally not perfectly framed)

• A normal apartment as the location (kitchen/living room), everyday chaos may remain visible

• A tablet on which an app can be operated in a clearly legible manner

• Sufficient natural light or even indoor lighting

Nice to have:

• Experience with amateur acting, improvisation, or UGC videos

• A person who can calmly and convincingly deliver a short “on-camera interview” (typical of the docu-soap style)

• Reliable, on-time delivery of raw footage
