Job description
Child Actor / Stand-in (m/f) as "Young Ludwig van Beethoven" for a Terra X documentary
For reenactment scenes in a historical Terra X documentary about Ludwig van Beethoven, we are looking for a child actor aged 8–10 who can convincingly portray Beethoven as a child (ages 6–8) (1 day of filming; €800 daily rate)
Terra X: Louis Meets Beethoven (ZDF) explores the life and music of composer Ludwig van Beethoven on two narrative levels:
In one, Ludwig van Beethoven’s life is brought to life through atmospheric reenactments, archival footage, and insightful expert commentary; in the other, pianist and creator Louis Philippson embarks on a personal journey of discovery in the here and now —driven by the question of why Beethoven’s music still moves us 200 years after his death and sounds just as relevant today as it did back then.
Role / Requirements profile
The actor should be at least 8 years old but be able to convincingly portray a 6- to 8-year-old.
Special requirement: The actor should be able to play the piano. This doesn’t require virtuoso-level playing, but the actor should certainly be able to play a simple piece.
The actor should have darker hair and bear a resemblance to depictions of the older Beethoven (the silhouette shows him as about 15 years old; the other images show him in his early 30s.)
Gender
Male / Non-binary
Age
8 – 10 years
