Our project is a documentary film about one of the most popular tourist regions in Salzburg/Upper Austria - Lake Wolfgangsee.
It is not a tourism documentary, nor does it focus on history. It is about traveling, self-discovery and inspiration. This documentary is accompanied by a staged story that guides us through the film.
It is about a young man who is on a journey back to his roots. His name is Elias. After losing his parents at an early age, his grandmother became his only caregiver. After her death, he finds one of her travel diaries describing her time at Lake Wolfgang. Now he sets off on the trail of his grandmother
We are looking for the role of Matilde, Elias' grandmother. This character is shown exclusively in flashbacks and interacts with the approximately 8-year-old Elias, with whom she has a very close, almost maternal relationship. Matilde is a free spirit and passionate painter. She was never able to come to terms with the death of her daughter (Elias' mother) until her own passing. For this reason, she left her hometown and the place where her daughter lived and never returned.
Matilde is free and warm-hearted. She is outgoing throughout and is characterized by her particularly bubbly, sunny and cheerful disposition. She tries to process the isolated moments that cause her trauma to flare up in her paintings - these are mainly found in motifs of her hometown
It is important that the actress conveys joie de vivre and plays expressively.
The role is without text.
