Actress (w/d) for a TV and movie theater commercial for an international automotive client

For an atmospheric, pre-Christmas TV and movie commercial for an international automotive client, we are looking for diverse personalities and authentic faces from a wide range of generations.

Through several unrelated vignettes, the film captures brief moments of being on the move: People on their way home, traveling through wintry landscapes, cities, and nights—on their way to the people and places that matter to them.

At first, the individual scenes appear independent of one another, but as the film progresses, they come together emotionally to form a larger whole.

Please record videos following the instructions below. Of course, recordings made with a cell phone or similar device are acceptable.

However, please ensure that your faces and your acting are clearly visible.

Part 1

Please briefly introduce yourselves at the beginning:

• Name

• Age

• Place of residence

• Acting training / experience

• Selection of previous projects

Particularly relevant:

• Automotive campaigns

• Current TV/movie commercials

Availability in August / September  (please also explicitly state any time periods during which you are definitely unavailable)

Please film yourself during the introduction:

• front view / portrait (i.e., roughly a close-up)

• Close-up profile / left and right

• Medium close-up and full body – include both profiles here as well

• Please also show your hands in close-up during the close-up shot!
   

Part 2 “Scenes”

Please select the appropriate part—including the lines of dialogue—for which you are applying, based on the role description and the character’s age.

Important Note!

All roles and gender assignments described are intended solely as an initial creative guide for tone, dynamics, and scene.

Applications are welcome regardless of gender identity or personal background!

Please apply for the role or situation with which you most strongly identify emotionally and in terms of age.

Character:

Lively. Humorous. Confident.
Someone who organizes a lot, especially family matters.

SCENE 1 — “AT THE CHARGING STATION”

You’re standing at a winter rest stop/charging station.

You’re talking to your mother on a hands-free call. As you do so, you’re rushing back and forth frantically.

(Please don’t turn away from the camera too much while doing this)

Your lines: “Yes, Mom, I’m on time. For real this time.”

Please deliver this in three variations:

1. affectionately reassuring

2. as implausible as possible (because in reality, you’ll actually be over an hour late!)

3. Your mom can barely hear you anymore and keeps interrupting you!

 SCENE 2 alternatively:

Reenact the scene as if you were talking to your mother on the hands-free system while driving. (both hands on the wheel)

Same dialogue: “Yes, Mom, I’m on time. For real this time.”

Please perform this again in the three variations:

4. affectionately reassuring

5. as implausible as possible (because in reality, you’re actually going to be over an hour late!)

6. Your mom can barely hear you anymore and keeps interrupting you!
