Job description
INNENRAUM is an emotional chamber drama about trust, loss, and the question of why people cling to relationships that have long since ceased to be good for them.
At the center of the story is Flo, who, after a painful breakup with someone important to him, is on the verge of being consumed by his own thoughts and feelings. During a quiet moment after weathering a struggle, he has an intense conversation with Leia that gradually uncovers the deeper causes of his inner conflicts.
Through Leia’s perspectives, questions, and insights, Flo is forced to confront the truths he has been running from. The story does not focus on why a friendship has broken down, but rather on the role we ourselves play in our own suffering—and how much courage it takes to let go of old dynamics.

Openness to rehearsal work
Application: Self-tape of the attached script excerpt
Leia is a calm, direct, and very observant person who quickly sees through others and does not shy away from uncomfortable truths. She appears composed and confident, yet consciously holds back her own vulnerability.
The role traverses several emotional levels:
Observation
Restraint
Provocation
Confrontation
Compassion
Particularly important is the ability to create tension through calmness, precision, and active listening. Many of the character’s powerful moments arise not from grand emotional outbursts, but from pauses, glances, and the conscious decision of when to ask questions and when to remain silent.
Acting requirements:
Highly precise delivery of dialogue
Strong presence in quiet and understated scenes
Ability to convey authority and compassion simultaneously
Keen sense of subtext, timing, and pauses
Experience with dialogue-heavy or psychologically demanding roles is an advantage
Particularly interesting for the role
Leia leads the conversation without becoming a therapist or an all-knowing authority. The role offers the opportunity to create a powerful impact with minimal means and to reveal subtle traces of her own vulnerability behind a controlled facade.
Gender
Female / Non-binary
