Actress (f/d) for the leading role in a student graduation film
We are looking for an actress with a strong presence - a combination of urban toughness and seductive charm. The character appears tough and self-confident, but hides deep insecurities behind her façade. She struggles with intense self-hatred.
The short film "Fugue" tells the story of 21-year-old Selina - a shape-shifter who can no longer assume her original form. This change brings with it numerous difficulties: her family no longer recognizes her and she herself begins to question who she actually is. Since then, she has been searching for a form that resembles her original shape in order to return to her old life. She is particularly drawn to crowded clubs. She meets Silas in one of these clubs. With his directness and persistence, he shows her that true acceptance does not depend on outward appearances. As the two grow closer, Selina is forced to confront the painful truth: Can she really return to her old life, or must she learn to accept herself as she is now?
The role of Selina is split between four actresses, as Selina takes on four different guises over the course of the movie. Therefore, we will rehearse with all four actresses in advance to develop a consistent language, facial expressions and gestures.
Shooting is scheduled for the period from September 8 to September 15, 2025 in Cologne and the surrounding area. This is a low-budget film, so unfortunately we cannot offer any remuneration. It would therefore also be helpful if there are no or only low travel costs. Catering will be provided. We offer a valuable experience with a film worth seeing that will be sent to festivals worldwide.
