For our student short film "Von Mensch und Tier" (Bachelor's final project in the Media Conception & Production course at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences), we are looking for three actors* who would like to tell an emotional and visually powerful story with us about the search for meaning, the work of sanctuaries and the value of humans and animals living together.
The film tells the story of Paul, an elderly man who has lost his courage to face life after losing his wife and retiring. In the monotony of his everyday life, he accidentally discovers a life farm for animals, which makes him blossom again. By working with the animals and making contact with new people, Paul not only finds a new purpose, but also a renewed sense of meaning in his life. But the farm is in financial difficulties, and together with his granddaughter Zoe and the farm owner Eva, he fights to preserve the farm.
