Actor (m/f/d) as "The Others" for a student master's project at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences
ÜBER_GEWICHT: A man fights the demons of his own body. In a surreal cage of guilt, shame and social ideals, he tries to make peace with the thing he hates the most: himself.
About_Weight is an experimental short film at the intersection of personal essay, lyrical reflection and physical performance. The film deals with male body images, vulnerability and the need for reconciliation.
The inner man, trapped in a cage of memories and social projections, reflects in a painful letter to his body the stages of a lifelong enmity: from a carefree childhood to brutal discipline through diets, sports and self-hatred to the realization that the cycle of conformity and condemnation never ends.
At the end is the tender question: Can you reconcile with the body you have tortured for years?

The OTHERS: They are the voice of society: sometimes whispering, sometimes screaming, always condemning. Their bodies are fragmented - here an arm in velvet, there a leg in leather, faces behind masks or veiled.
A mass, but still individual. The personification of painful experiences of judgement, of shame and the pressure to optimize.
We are looking for an experienced choreographer or dance group leader who would like to develop a visually radical and emotionally dense movement language for "Über_Gewicht" with us.
