Actor (m/f) with a muscular build for the short film “Mainmatch”

For my short film “Mainmatch” (approx. 7 minutes), I am looking to cast the supporting role of Mauran (m, 28):

Age range: 26–35 years
Language: German 
Body type / Stature: tall, physically imposing presence with a muscular build 

Mauran is the charismatic, energetic host of a rap battle at the Cypher-Fabrik. He has a strong stage presence and confidently guides the battle, fires up the crowd, and maintains control over the proceedings at all times. He comes across as self-assured, loud, and experienced in dealing with the audience and artists. Behind the scenes, he shows a calmer, more reflective side.

Synopsis of my film:

In an energetic 2-on-2 rap battle, Index & Filiz face off against DonJuan & Kira. Over several rounds, they duel with personal and hard-hitting punchlines until something surprising happens in the final round: Filiz and Kira join forces in a circle and rap together against sexism, entrenched gender roles, and the unequal conditions under which women must thrive in rap.

Behind the scenes, however, it becomes clear that despite its impact, the women’s powerful performance will likely not receive the attention or recognition it deserves. Amid frustration, realism, and a glimmer of hope, an honest look emerges at the inequality in the rap scene, but also at the importance of solidarity and change.
