Actor (m/f) to play "Father" in a toy commercial

Preference is given to people from Cologne and the surrounding area/North Rhine-Westphalia, as travel expenses are unfortunately not covered. Explanation of the commercial’s content:

It’s a classic Christmas movie in which, by the end of Christmas Eve, everyone’s wish has come true…

…they’ve received their favorite character from their favorite movie in the form of a toy.

Before that, there are always scenes in which the individual family members watch their favorite movies.

E-Casting Requirements:

Please film the following (a cell phone or similar device is sufficient!)

1. First-person introduction in close-up:

• Name

• Training (related to acting)

• List examples of reference projects (theater, film, advertising)

• Current Engagements

• Which commercials are currently on air (if any have been produced…)

2. Close-ups

• Hands

• Face from the front and both profiles (left/right)

3. Full-body shots

• Brief introduction, just the most important points from the resume in a full-body shot

• Profile left/right.

We’ll then cut back and forth between full-body shots and close-ups…

Formal requirements:

Please say the following to the camera:

“I am currently appearing in commercials for the following products / brands / services.”

Please also list any commercial appearances that have recently ended (within the last 2 years).

Yes, and also say this explicitly into the camera(!):

“Yes, I am available on August 31 / September 1, 2026, for the shoot of a toy commercial in Cologne!”

Attention!! The date hasn’t been set yet and may still change!!

A quick tip:

It’s always helpful to record the video against backgrounds that are as calm and solid-colored as possible ;)

Acting scenes (Please shoot much closer again—face to hips max.)

Please always act toward the camera (!) so we can see as much of your face as possible. But don’t look directly into the camera,

rather, look slightly past it.

Scene 1 “Cocooning” – for mom and dad!

Imagine watching your favorite movie with your loved ones during the pre-Christmas season.

Your action:

You’re watching the movie (sometimes entranced, sometimes moved, sometimes looking happy) while holding one of your young children in your arms.

Alternatively (please act this out 1–2 times as well), the child is sometimes leaning against you, and you absentmindedly and lovingly stroke their head. You protect and pamper your child.

(There doesn’t need to be an actual child present; it’s enough to act as believably as possible as if the child and family were there)

Scene 2 “Playful” – for moms and dads!

Father “Playful”:

You’re playing enthusiastically with a model car. In your imagination, it’s a particularly cool dream car, and the model is about the size of a cell phone or slightly larger.

You look like you’ve always dreamed of this car.
