Fallobst (AT) - Project description
Format: Short film
Duration: 4-10 minutes
Genre: Black comedy / tragicomedy
Language: German
Location: Forest / Outside & Inside (apartment)
After receiving an anonymous tip, two investigators come across a body dumped in the forest - wrapped in garbage bags and accompanied by a bite of avocado bread. The scene seems less like a crime scene and more like a leftover moment of a plan that was never fully thought through.
While they document the find, the two try to form a picture of what might have happened - without blood, without a perpetrator, but with many questions. It's not a classic crime thriller. Rather, it is about what happens between the investigations: Glances, thoughts, pauses - and a lot of dry, macabre humor.
The film is loosely based on a previously made short film called Avocado Bread, in which two overwhelmed men try to hide a corpse in the woods after a tragicomic incident - and fail miserably.
This predecessor was also a black humorous short film that worked with reduced means, laconic dialogue and absurd situation comedy. The new project takes up the same world again, but looks at it from a different angle: from the point of view of the investigators, who are confronted with the traces of this event - without knowing what really happened. Instead of continuing the story, the new film opens up a narrative side path in the same universe - while remaining true to the tone and spirit of Avocado Bread.
Unfortunately, we cannot provide a fee due to the budget. In addition to young committed film lovers, we look forward to spending time together

ANDREAS - Role description
Gender: male
Age: approx. 35 - 52 years
Type: calm, edgy, controlled
Style: laconic, dry, with attitude
Description:
Andreas is a policeman - someone who has seen a lot and no longer needs to comment on everything. He faces the world with a dry gaze and sharp sarcasm, without being cynical. His way of speaking is calm, pared down, but to the point. He avoids big emotions and keeps his distance - not because he doesn't care, but because he knows exactly what too much closeness can do.
In his interaction with Sandra, he comes across as the pragmatic antithesis - an observer who thinks more than he says.
Playing challenge:
The character thrives on nuances: subtle facial expressions, minimal expression, but with tangible depth.
