Actress (f/d) as "Sara" for the student short film "Love, Josie"

We are looking for actors for our student short film "Love, Josie".

Description:

Sara's best friend Josie died of a serious illness when she was 20 years old. Back then, they were inseparable. Today, Sara is 40 and has had to carry on with her life without Josie. She has done well. She has a happy family, a good job and is generally content. Despite this, she regularly looks back with nostalgia, sadness and regret on her life without Josie, which she would have loved to have experienced together with her.

Filming will take place in Wiesbaden and the surrounding area from June 19 to 26, 2026. The roles of the protagonists are expected to take 2-4 days of filming.

One day of filming for the roles of the extras.

Protagonist 1: Sara

Sara is a mother, wife and career woman. She has worked hard for her life and is proud of it. She has a husband and a seven-year-old son, Henry. Despite her contentment, she often remembers her deceased friend Josie, whose death had a huge impact on her. Although it was 20 years ago, she struggles with how to deal with it. Her agnostic view of the world conflicts with her hope that Josie is still with her in some way. Even after such a long time, she maintains a friendship with Josie's mother Matilda, with whom she has lunch every year on Josie's birthday.
