Actress (f/d) as "Khadijatou" for a student graduation film

The production "Sakeenah" is a graduation film from the ifs Cologne. The short film is about a Senegalese family in Germany who run a bookshop and mourn the death of the family father Souleymane. Our protagonist Idrissa, the eldest son of the family, has finally received his school-leaving certificate and must now decide whether he wants to live up to his mother Astou's expectations or follow his own dreams.
"Sakeenah" tells a story about the paralyzing power of grief and is particularly aimed at those who know what it feels like not to be seen.

Khadijatou, called Khady by many, is Idrissa's little sister. She is transitioning into adulthood and sees the tensions in the family with a mixture of worry and resignation. She is sensitive but pragmatic - she has learned to adapt so as not to cause additional conflict. While Idrissa withdraws, Khady tries to maintain the balance in the family, even if she herself is often overwhelmed. She admires Idrissa's courage to ask his own questions, but is afraid of the consequences his actions could have for the fragile balance of their small family.
