In the midst of the vibrant city of Berlin, 25-year-old queer Ela fights for her moments of happiness and falling in love - but between everyday sexism, homophobia and constantly crossing boundaries, she has to learn that self-protection is sometimes more important than resistance. A sensitive portrait about self-assertion, vulnerability and daily navigation through a world that is far from being as open as it seems.

DAUMEN-HOCH-MANN appears unexpectedly in a tender, intimate scene between two young women. With his intrusive gaze and a clumsy thumbs-up gesture, he abruptly shatters the mood.
