Actor (m/d) as "Herbert" for a historical student graduation film

We are looking for a committed actor who would like to play the character "Herbert" for our graduation film (approx. 25min) of the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences. It is a historical short film based on a true story.

Our film "Wind from the West" tells the story of Wolfgang, an apprentice baker living in the GDR in 1957. Feeling politically and professionally constrained, he makes the courageous decision to leave his homeland and ride his motorcycle alone across the border to the West to build a new life there. He leaves his family and his girlfriend Rosemarie behind. On his journey, he has to keep finding the courage to ride on. 

As this is a student production, we are unfortunately unable to pay a fee. However, accommodation, travel expenses and meals on set will of course be covered by us. Therefore, we are particularly looking forward to applications from actors from the Zwickau or Saxony area.

Herbert, Wolfgang's father, works as a self-employed baker in the GDR and is a down-to-earth man who is shaped by everyday life and the circumstances of his time. He is not a man of many words, but bears responsibility and understands more than he says. As one of the few people who know about Wolfgang's plan, he plays an important role in his departure.
