Actress (f/d) with Mandarin language skills as »Xin« for a short film

Casting "Lili & Xin," a short film currently in pre-production, targeting major European film festivals. Synopsis: The film follows a 17-year-old Chinese teenager who travels to Berlin with her aunt for a trip that changes how she sees herself forever. The film is observational, intimate, and arthouse in register.

XIN - A girl on the cusp of something she can't yet name. She's a people pleaser - warm, watchful, slightly outside the luxury world she's moving through. She doesn't say much but she sees everything. The role requires someone who can hold stillness in front of the camera and communicate interiority through behaviour rather than dialogue.

Note: No prior professional experience required. Language: Mandarin Chinese (and a little English).
